In a highly anticipated heavyweight showdown held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Anthony Joshua emerged victorious over Francis Ngannou, causing Canadian music sensation Drake to suffer a significant loss of $615,000……..CONTINUE READING
Joshua secured a stunning knockout victory over Ngannou in the second round of the ‘Knockout Chaos’ bout on Friday evening.
The renowned musician, known for his penchant for large sports wagers, had publicly announced on Instagram that he was placing a hefty bet of $615,000 on Ngannou to defeat Joshua.
Drake’s Instagram post read, “Betting on a scary man.”
Like many other combat sports enthusiasts, Drake was confident in Ngannou’s abilities and stood to potentially win $1.9 million with his wager.
However, Drake’s luck did not hold as Nigerian-born fighter Israel Adesanya failed to defend his UFC middleweight title against Sean Strickland, resulting in Drake missing out on a potential $920,000 win. Despite Drake’s support for Adesanya to secure a knockout victory, Strickland surprised everyone by winning on points.
Drake’s betting history includes notable victories and losses, but it’s the infamous “Drake Curse” that has garnered attention, with fans suggesting that teams and athletes often experience setbacks after being associated with him.
Recall that following Anthony Joshua’s unexpected loss to Mexican-American boxer Andy Ruiz Jr., boxing fans took to social media to blame Drake for allegedly “jinxing” Joshua’s performance during their fight in the United States, where Ruiz Jr. knocked down Joshua four times, resulting in Joshua’s defeat and loss of the heavyweight championship.

Sanctuary Secrets Exposed: Outraged Man Points Finger At Gumi Over Alleged Moroccan Wife Hidden In Plain Sight.
Nasiru Musa Idris has accused Kaduna-based Islamic cleric Sheikh Ahmad Gumi of withholding his Moroccan wife for approximately 11 months after she was brought to him for counselling, though Gumi has strongly denied the claims and threatened a defamation lawsuit.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Husband’s Claims: Idris stated in an RFI Hausa interview that he introduced his wife—whom he legally married in Morocco with parental and embassy approval—to Gumi for counselling out of trust. He alleged that Gumi refused to return her, blocked communication, and insisted on obtaining an unnecessary new marriage certificate from a Malali Sharia Court despite existing official paperwork from the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Nigerian embassy in Morocco. He also disputed accounts that the woman’s mother took her back to Morocco, calling on Gumi to cooperate with police investigations.
-
Gumi’s Response: Refuting the allegations, Gumi told Daily Trust that the woman is no longer in Nigeria and has safely returned to Morocco to live happily with her parents. While declining to elaborate on the dispute due to an active court case, the cleric confirmed he intends to sue Idris for defamation.
-
Aide’s Defense: Malam Nasiru Ayuba, Gumi’s personal assistant and Chairman of the Volunteers of Sultan Bello Mosque, also rejected Idris’ version, asserting that the woman independently sought out Gumi’s intervention for a personal problem rather than being kept by him. Ayuba accused Idris of trying to ruin the cleric’s reputation on social media and warned that their camp holds recorded evidence they are prepared to release if necessary to protect Gumi’s image.
