Following a temporary global shutdown, popular social media platforms Facebook and Instagram have now resumed their services……..CONTINUE READING

Users of the apps expressed frustration earlier today when they were unable to access their accounts.

Upon investigation, our correspondent discovered that both existing Facebook users were required to log in again, while Instagram users found their profiles and homepages unable to refresh.

This outage prompted users to take to other social media platforms to voice their concerns.

One Twitter user, Peace Ighodaro (@peace_igho), lamented, “Who logged us out of Facebook ooo.”

Similarly, Lidia Curanaj (@LidiaNews) from New York tweeted, “Facebook and Instagram down,” while a social media influencer from the Philippines, @RealRazziebinx, expressed, “Is it just me or Facebook logged me out? I guess the world is ending… see you guys.”

Another user, @RaphealMiguel, shared a photo of relief, jokingly stating, “Me after checking on Twitter that Meta is just down and I’m not hacked since my Instagram isn’t loading and my Facebook got ‘session logged out.'”

@Avviexo added, “Anyone else’s #Facebook logged out? Can’t log back in, keeps saying session expired or unexpected error?”

Nigerian sports photojournalist, @PoojaMedia, also commented on the shutdown, saying, “Sessions of all Facebook accounts expired & everyone logged out. You have to log in again. Good luck if you still remember your passwords.”

Additionally, popular user @bod_republic questioned, “Facebook and Instagram down?”

Fortunately, the servers of both platforms have been restored, allowing users to regain access to their accounts by simply logging in with their credentials.

He said the initiative is part of efforts to strengthen climate resilience, tackle environmental degradation, and promote sustainable land use in the state.

Speaking at the ACReSAL mid-term review meeting in Kaduna through the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Abubakar Buba, the governor explained that the use of geospatial tools has made it possible to accurately identify affected areas for targeted intervention.

He added that the project is not only focused on land recovery but also on boosting agricultural output and improving livelihoods in affected communities.

President Tinubu has given full backing for the implementation of the ₦68.32 trillion 2026 budget after signing the Appropriation Bill passed by the National Assembly into law.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

He also approved an amendment extending the lifespan of the 2025 budget from March 31 to June 30, 2026, to ensure completion of ongoing capital projects nationwide.

Under the 2026 fiscal plan, ₦4.799 trillion is set aside for statutory transfers, ₦15.8 trillion for debt servicing, ₦15.4 trillion for recurrent spending, while ₦32.2 trillion goes to capital projects—about half of the total budget.

The focus, according to the administration, is on infrastructure development, security, and growth-driven investments aimed at improving living standards.
