Its Plenty: APC Battling The Odds Against Oshiomhole’s Generosity As Edo Elections Take Centre Stage

If I were Oshiomhole, this would be the anthem resonating with me as the APC in Edo State faces a critical juncture. It’s time for the esteemed senator to unwind, embrace a relaxed demeanor, and prioritize the welfare of the masses, a principle he has consistently upheld.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Inspired by Burna Boy, the influential African artist, this song encapsulates the essence of Oshiomhole’s leadership amidst challenges and criticisms. Amidst the political turmoil and personal attacks, it’s crucial for Oshiomhole to maintain his focus on serving the people, disregarding the distracting competition for leadership.

It’s disheartening to witness certain APC members, linked to influential politicians from Edo South, making it their mission to discredit Oshiomhole, almost as if his leadership position within the party is under scrutiny. What’s even more regrettable is that these very individuals from Edo South, whom Oshiomhole fervently supported, are now seemingly changing their tune, portraying Oshiomhole in a negative light.

In Edo South, supporting the APC during campaigns often results in public rejection, and even during the previous general elections, aspirants from Edo South hesitated to campaign for the APC’s presidential candidate.

Instead, they would urge voters to support them for specific positions while endorsing Peter Obi for the presidential role, demonstrating a reluctance to openly advocate for Tinubu. Adams Oshiomhole, standing alone as a formidable force from Edo North, ventured into the streets of Benin, actively engaging with people in markets, motor parks, and diverse communities such as the Hausa and Yoruba settlements for Tinubu’s presidency.

He boldly advocated for Tinubu’s cause during his campaign endeavors, establishing an impressive standard. In contrast, apart from Dennis Idahosa from Edo South, no other aspirant exhibited such courage in openly mobilizing support for the APC across various levels of elections.

Now listen to this verse on this song , ” Up ’til now I don’t understandWhy no matter what I do … Cause if it’s not enoughIf I do 99 good e go remain 1…Don’t know how to show you my love without f**king up”

Oshiomhole stands out as a leader with unparalleled qualities. He has made sacrifices for the collective welfare of the people and consistently assumes responsibility, even when Obaseki, whom he introduced to the Party, caused disunity among party members. Oshiomhole accepted accountability for a flawed decision, bearing the weight of leadership that Obaseki, as governor, could have assumed. He remained steadfast in supporting party members, transcending geographical boundaries.

He exerted considerable pressure on the Buhari administration to secure appointments for Edo sons and daughters in prominent positions, overcoming significant challenges. Notably, he successfully advocated for the appointment of an Edo man as the NDDC chairman, despite opposition from Obaseki and some fellow APC members.

In my opinion, Oshiomhole should now take a break and enjoy life while continuing to assist his people, constituents, and subjects like us. Reflecting on the past general elections, it raises the question of how many of his counterparts were able to deliver their wards and constituents for the APC.

Given the circumstances, the best course for Adams Oshiomhole might be to focus on serving his people at the Senate and contributing to the welfare of Nigerians on a broader scale. It may be wise for him to let go of the stress and potential betrayals that the upcoming Edo elections could entail.

An African proverb wisely suggests that those seeking honey should be prepared to face the bees. In the context of the upcoming elections, it is essential for the leaders of the state APC, under the guidance of their chairman Jarret Tenebe, to exhibit boldness and courage in securing votes for the party throughout the state.

Considering the critique directed at Oshiomhole for not adopting a neutral stance during the primaries, it becomes imperative for him to maintain impartiality in the general elections. The principle of fairness should apply universally, signifying that what is deemed suitable for one should also be deemed suitable for the other.

As Oshiomhole’s alleged transgression lies in supporting a specific aspirant during the primaries, it is suggested that he refrains from such involvement during the general elections. Adopting a neutral position allows him to step back while the APC strives to secure victory in Edo State.

The Burna Boy song “Its Plenty” is a good metaphor for the current situation with Adams Oshiomhole and the APC in Edo State. The article proposes that, when confronted with internal criticism and charges of not playing a neutral position in the primaries, Oshiomhole should adopt a joyous and carefree attitude, similar to the song’s premise.

“Politics is not an award for effort, it is not about sentiments,” Onochie stated. “It is a test of preparedness, capacity, national reach, and the ability to win power and govern effectively.”

She emphasized that Atiku possesses a rare combination of national acceptance, experience, economic insight, and a unique capacity for coalition-building.

Rallying ADC members to make a pragmatic choice at the convention, Onochie concluded: “If ADC desires not simply to make history but to win history, then members must choose a candidate with national scale, tested endurance, and the capacity to convert aspiration into government. Lauretta Onochie Drops Presidential Shocker: Backs Atiku for ADC Ticket, Outlines 2027 Strategy

As the African Democratic Congress (ADC) heads to its high-stakes presidential primary today, a prominent voice from the previous administration has thrown her weight behind Atiku Abubakar. Lauretta Onochie, the vocal former media aide to former President Muhammadu Buhari, has declared Atiku as the only candidate capable of taking the ADC to Aso Rock in 2027.

Onochie stressed that the primary must focus strictly on choosing a candidate with a proven national footprint capable of winning the general election.

According to her, Atiku offers unmatched experience, cross-regional appeal, and the strategic endurance needed to overthrow the status quo.

“As ADC prepares for its 2027 Presidential Primary, members must ask one question above all else: Who gives ADC the strongest opportunity to win Nigeria and govern successfully? For many party faithful, the answer is clear: Atiku Abubakar,” Onochie asserted.

With the primaries kicking off today, Onochie’s high-profile endorsement marks a significant realignment in the buildup to the 2027 general elections, challenging ADC delegates to shift from a minor-party mindset to an aggressive quest for power.

‘PRAY FOR PEACE!’ – Kaduna Hajj Committee Makes Emotional, High-Stakes Plea To Pilgrims Amid Rising Tensions!.

Published

on

The leader of the Kaduna State Hajj Delegation Committee, Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha, has appealed to state pilgrims to use their sacred time in Mecca to pray for the peace, prosperity, and wellbeing of Nigeria, specifically highlighting President Bola Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Mustapha made the call on Saturday during a welfare visit to the pilgrims at their residence in the Misfala district of Makkah. Accompanied by prominent figures, including the Governor’s Principal Private Secretary, Professor Bello Ayuba, and respected Islamic clerics, Mustapha stated that both leaders deserve a second term to sustain their people-oriented governance. He particularly praised Governor Sani for steering Kaduna State with “wisdom that belies his relatively young age.”

In a statement released by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Malam Ibraheem Musa, the delegation urged pilgrims to remain law-abiding and strictly respect both religious injunctions and Saudi Arabian laws.

Addressing the pilgrims on technical preparations, Sheikh Haliru Maraya of the Special Hajj Committee detailed the logistics for the upcoming move to Muna, located eight kilometers from Makkah. Maraya revealed that Governor Uba Sani has uniquely deployed 85 officials, including dedicated Islamic clerics assigned to every single tent, to guide Kaduna pilgrims through their rituals.

“This is unprecedented,” Maraya remarked, noting that Kaduna is the only state to implement such an intensive spiritual support structure to help pilgrims achieve an acceptable Hajj (Hajj Mabroor).

Option 2: Political & Punchy (Focus on the endorsement angle)

2027 Boost: Kaduna Hajj Delegation Backs Tinubu, Uba Sani for Second Term, Rallies Pilgrims’ Prayers

A high-powered Kaduna State Hajj delegation has openly backed President Bola Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani for re-election ahead of the 2027 polls, urging state pilgrims in Saudi Arabia to back the leaders with powerful prayers.

Speaking to pilgrims on Ibrahim Khalil Road in Makkah, the head of the five-member committee and former Head of Service, Dr. Abubakar Mustapha, declared that both Tinubu and Sani have earned a second term through impactful leadership. Mustapha noted that Governor Sani has demonstrated exceptional wisdom in managing Kaduna State.

Beyond the political endorsements, the state government has significantly scaled up spiritual logistics for the pilgrimage. According to Sheikh Haliru Maraya, a member of the state’s Special Hajj Committee, Governor Sani has funded 85 specialized officials and clerics to embed directly within the 100 tents allocated to Kaduna pilgrims in Muna.

Maraya lauded the move as a historic first for any Nigerian subnational government, emphasizing that the deployment ensures pilgrims receive round-the-clock guidance to fulfill their religious obligations correctly.

Key Enhancements:

  • Streamlined Flow: Cleaned up repetitive names and bureaucratic titles so the text reads smoothly.

  • Better Layout: Segmented the political endorsements and the logistical updates into distinct paragraphs for easier reading.

  • Refined Vocabulary: Replaced phrases like “belie his relatively young age” and “subnational” with punchier, modern journalistic equivalents.
