The two found themselves embroiled in a spirited debate over their respective statuses during the inaugural episode of the Prime Video original reality series, ‘Ebuka Turns Up Africa.’

During an exchange of gifts among fellow luminaries on the show, Egbuson boasted of his stature as Africa’s foremost actor, a declaration that elicited a strong reaction from Michael.

Recalling his recent experience at a festival in Paris, Egbuson asserted, “I have been acting for about 13 years now and I’ve won awards. I’ve done everything basically and I believe I am the best.”

Dismissing Egbuson’s claim, Michael asserted, “Stop f**king playing, he’s kidding. It’s not coming from a place of pride but I’m the biggest actor in Africa.”

Offering further justification for his assertion, Michael pointed out the extent of his reach compared to Egbuson’s, stating, “Let me tell you why I’m bigger than Timini, if Timini crosses Shagamu, nobody knows him and I’m not abusing you. Your fame ends in Lekki but I’ve conquered the YouTube market, the DVD market, and now cinemas.”

Egbuson attempted to counter Michael’s argument by highlighting what he perceived as a lack of versatility in Michael’s roles, stating, “You literally act the same character in every movie my bro. How can you be bigger than me?”

In response, Michael clarified, “Again, it’s not coming from a place of pride o, but I can buy Timini.”

An incensed Egbuson retorted, expressing his dissatisfaction with Michael’s assessment, asserting that Michael lacked sufficient knowledge about him to make such a claim.

In his inaugural address, Aina acknowledged the foundation laid by his predecessor—who is widely credited with modernizing the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)—and vowed to expand on those achievements. Emphasizing a strong stance against malpractice, he warned wrongdoers that their illicit activities have no place at JAMB, promising to ramp up modern technological investments and deepen partnerships with security agencies to safeguard the integrity of the admissions process.
