Amid growing concerns about insecurity in the state, Governor Alia emphasized the importance of collective responsibility and denounced those instigating unrest.

Addressing a gathering in Makurdi, the state capital, on Friday, Governor Alia reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring the security and well-being of the state’s residents.

He cautioned residents against engaging in activities that could destabilize the state, emphasizing that Benue State’s security is paramount and will not be compromised.

Governor Alia stated, “We are not tolerating any nonsense from any group of people or from any individual. Benue is larger, bigger and older than any individual.”

Highlighting the seriousness with which his administration views security matters, Governor Alia made it clear that those attempting to foment trouble or insecurity will face the consequences of their actions.

He reiterated his administration’s efforts to address the issue of armed herders, stating that constructive dialogues have been held with various groups to resolve the situation.

Governor Alia concluded by warning troublemakers that they will be held accountable for their actions and urged residents to maintain peace and order in the state.
