- Tea Tree Oil: Tea tree oil has natural insecticidal properties that can help kill lice and their eggs. Mix a few drops of tea tree oil with a carrier oil like olive oil or coconut oil. Apply the mixture to the scalp and hair, cover with a shower cap, and leave it on for at least 30 minutes. Then, comb through the hair with a fine-toothed comb to remove dead lice and nits.
- Vinegar: Vinegar can help loosen the glue that holds lice eggs (nits) to the hair shaft, making them easier to remove. Mix equal parts of vinegar and water and apply the solution to the scalp and hair. Cover with a shower cap and leave it on for about an hour. Afterward, comb through the hair with a fine-toothed comb to remove dead lice and nits.
- Neem Oil: Neem oil is known for its insecticidal properties and can help kill lice and prevent their eggs from hatching. Mix a few drops of neem oil with a carrier oil and apply it to the scalp and hair. Leave it on for at least 30 minutes before combing through the hair to remove dead lice and nits.
- Mayonnaise: Mayonnaise can suffocate lice, making it difficult for them to survive. Apply mayonnaise generously to the scalp and hair, covering with a shower cap, and leave it on overnight. In the morning, comb through the hair with a fine-toothed comb to remove dead lice and nits.
These natural remedies may require multiple applications and thorough combing to completely eliminate lice infestations. Additionally, it’s important to wash bedding, clothing, and other items that may have come into contact with lice to prevent reinfestation. If natural remedies are ineffective, consult a healthcare professional for further guidance and treatment options.

Oshiomhole, who also served as the former President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), praised Wike for his developmental efforts and expressed gratitude to the PDP for allowing him to serve as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) under the APC government.
Wike, previously a staunch PDP member, supported APC’s Bola Tinubu during the 2023 presidential election after a fallout with his party. As a reward for his support, Wike was appointed FCT Minister.
Oshiomhole compared the situation to a football club letting its “best player” join a rival team. “Thank you, PDP, for giving us Nyesom Wike to help us fix Abuja,” he said. “When you give your best player to another club, you pay a heavy price.”
The lawmaker representing Edo North also joked about the PDP’s decision, saying they didn’t ask for a transfer fee and hinted that the APC might not want to return Wike, even joking about setting up a toll gate to prevent it.
At a New Year luncheon in Port Harcourt, Oshiomhole praised Wike for his contributions to Abuja, highlighting his commitment to the rule of law and environmental regulations.

The operation was carried out in partnership with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) as part of a major counter-terrorism effort. The seized items included four empty 12kg cylinders, one 6kg cylinder, two carburettor gas canisters, two pressure regulators, and a hose. Intelligence suggests the materials were intended for terrorists planning a retaliatory strike after recent losses, including the death of several militants and the capture of significant weapons. The suspect is currently in custody and cooperating with ongoing investigations.
