Eshanakpe Israel (Akpodoro), a former militant leader, has called upon President Bola Tinubu to dismiss Major-General Barry Ndiomu, the Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), unless he provides detailed expenditure reports……..CONTINUE READING
Expressing concerns over Ndiomu’s management approach, Akpodoro accused him of high-handedness, corruption, cluelessness, recklessness, and ineptitude. He stressed the importance of accountability in public office and urged the President to take action to remove Ndiomu from his position.
Questioning Ndiomu’s reluctance to be transparent about his actions, Akpodoro emphasized that as a public servant, Ndiomu is accountable to the people and should not evade scrutiny. He criticized Ndiomu’s creation of a purported group, the National Leadership of Phase 2 Ex-Agitators, labeling it as non-existent and fabricated to deflect demands for accountability.
Hailing from Ughelli South Local Government Area in Delta State, Akpodoro demanded detailed information about the alleged pilot training program, including expenses, the number of individuals trained, stipend disbursements, and scholarship funding. He stressed the necessity of transparency in the budget allocation and expenditure of the Presidential Amnesty Programme to achieve its objectives effectively.
Akpodoro warned against attempts to silence Phase 2 leaders advocating for accountability, urging the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, to ensure Ndiomu’s compliance with transparency standards. He suggested that if Ndiomu fails to provide satisfactory explanations, dismissal from office should be considered.

I Have Not Borrowed Since I Became Governor – Kaduna Gov Sani Boasts.
Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani announced during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today that his administration has not acquired any new loans since he took office, despite allocating approximately ₦6.7 billion monthly to service heavy debts left behind by past administrations. Speaking on state financial management amidst rising revenues, Sani emphasized that this massive debt burden has not hindered ongoing developmental projects across the state.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Attributing the administration’s financial stability to fiscal prudence and strategic project prioritization, Sani stated:
“Since I became governor, I’ve not borrowed with one kobo. It’s about being prudent. It’s about selecting or being very careful in where you invest the money.”
In addition to fiscal matters, the governor highlighted advancements across sectors including agriculture, education, infrastructure, security, and skills development. Addressing the state’s out-of-school children challenge, Sani noted that a comprehensive government household-mapping initiative uncovered roughly 550,000 children previously out of school, allowing the state to leverage reliable data rather than estimates and successfully return over 300,000 of them back to the classroom as interventions continue.

THE 2027 EARTHQUAKE: Atiku Drops Massive Fresh Promise That Will Change Nigeria Forever!.
African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has pledged to fully reopen Nigeria’s land borders if elected in 2027, arguing that current restrictions have crippled legitimate transborder commerce and left many young entrepreneurs bankrupt. In a video shared by ADC chieftain Dele Momodu, Atiku emphasized that northern states rely heavily on cross-border trade with neighboring countries like Cameroon, Chad, Niger, and Benin, and that shutting these borders has destroyed millions in business capital while fueling youth unemployment and insecurity.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Beyond border reopening, Atiku outlined plans to upgrade southern port infrastructure in locations such as Calabar, Uyo, and Port Harcourt to ease the logistics bottleneck. Drawing on his experience running a factory in Yola, he pointed out that transporting containers from Lagos to the North-East takes up to two months due to poor roads and long distances, whereas shipments from southern ports could reach Yola in just 24 hours if proper infrastructure were established.
While previous administrations—beginning with nationwide closures under President Muhammadu Buhari in August 2019 to curb smuggling, and followed by selective reopenings including the Tsamiya and Kamba borders under President Tinubu in February 2026—have partially eased restrictions, many land borders continue to face tight controls.

ROYAL TRAGEDY: Norway Mourns As King Harald Passes Away At 89 In Stunning National Blow!.
Norway’s King Harald V has passed away at the age of 89 following a prolonged battle with health issues, making way for his son, Crown Prince Haakon, to ascend the throne. The Norwegian Royal Palace confirmed that the king died peacefully at 6:35 a.m. on Friday, August 28, at Oslo University Hospital. Flags at the Royal Palace were immediately lowered to half-mast as citizens gathered to leave flowers and mourn.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Harald had been hospitalized since August 17 due to haemolytic anaemia, a condition causing rapid red blood cell destruction. After his health worsened sharply on Thursday, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon, and close family members rushed to his bedside, with Haakon staying through the night. Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store also canceled a scheduled trip to Germany as the crisis unfolded.
Public tributes highlighted the late monarch’s unifying presence. Citizens remembered him as a warm, steady figure who championed social inclusion and stood as a pillar against growing political polarization. Having assumed the throne in 1991 after his father King Olav V’s passing, Harald was Europe’s oldest reigning monarch and consistently refused to abdicate, honoring the oath he took before parliament for life.
The royal family has navigated several recent challenges alongside the king’s failing health, including Queen Sonja’s brief hospitalization in May and Crown Prince Haakon’s wife, Mette-Marit, undergoing a lung transplant in July. Mette-Marit also faced scrutiny over past correspondence with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, while her son, Marius Borg Hoiby, was sentenced in June to four years in prison for multiple offenses.
