Osimhen Under Fire As Former Galatasaray Striker Criticises His Body Language.

Former Galatasaray striker Necati Ateş has expressed displeasure with Victor Osimhen’s body language following the Turkish club’s 1-0 victory over Gençlerbirliği on Saturday.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Osimhen featured for the entire 90 minutes but failed to score or register an assist, bringing an end to his streak of contributing a goal in every appearance this season.

Speaking on the Spor Gecesi Digital YouTube channel, Ateş questioned the Nigerian striker’s attitude when he fails to find the back of the net, suggesting that his strong desire to score influences his behaviour on the pitch.

“I don’t like Osimhen’s body language. When Osimhen doesn’t score, he switches to a different version of himself because he thrives on goals,” Ateş was quoted as saying by Habersarikirmizi.

The former forward also criticised Osimhen’s decision-making during an attacking move in which he could have created an opportunity for teammate Deniz Gül to score into an unguarded net.

Although Ateş acknowledged that Osimhen did not deliberately prevent Gül from getting the scoring opportunity, he maintained that the Nigerian made the wrong decision with his pass.

“He didn’t pass to Deniz Gül so he could score into an empty net. He didn’t pass to Deniz; he passed to Batrakov. It wasn’t intentional, but his choice was wrong,” he added.

Despite the criticism, Osimhen continues to play a significant role in Galatasaray’s attacking setup. The Nigerian international has recorded six goals and three assists since the start of the campaign.
