During the interaction, President Tinubu stressed the significance of spiritual pursuits in the process of nation-building, reiterating his administration’s dedication to supporting religious endeavors.
The Meeting Agenda Tinubu also highlighted his government’s commitment to achieving food sufficiency for Nigeria, emphasizing plans for agricultural transformation.
A statement issued by presidential spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, elaborated on Tinubu’s determination to revolutionize agriculture, ensuring Nigeria’s self-sufficiency in food production and its status as a net exporter of agricultural goods.
Additionally, Tinubu pledged his administration’s support for initiatives aimed at facilitating Hajj pilgrimage and enhancing the welfare of pilgrims.
Furthermore, the President stressed the importance of collaboration between political and spiritual leaders in advancing national interests and fostering unity among citizens.
Addressing agricultural development, Tinubu outlined strategies to enhance productivity, including the expansion of farmland, provision of low-interest loans to farmers, and significant investments in irrigation infrastructure.
“We are committed to equipping hospitals with modern facilities, enhancing healthcare professionals’ capabilities through training, and ensuring comprehensive health insurance coverage for all citizens,” Tinubu affirmed.
Expressing gratitude to the Global Tijaniyya Movement for their support and prayers, Tinubu underscored the collective effort needed to build a prosperous Nigeria.
Response from the Tijaniyya Movement Sheikh Mahe Niass, speaking on behalf of the delegation, commended Tinubu for his steadfast commitment to Nigeria’s peace, progress, and stability.
He expressed confidence in Tinubu’s leadership and conveyed the fervent support and prayers of the Global Tijaniyya Movement for the President’s success.

The scrutiny came to light when the NFF turned down an application filed under the Freedom of Information Act by the law firm Cromwell & Okeke. The firm had formally requested financial statements, utilization logs, and related records concerning the multi-billion naira disbursement.
In a letter dated August 18, 2026, and signed by Onoja Joshua, Esq., on behalf of the NFF General Secretary, the football body stated that it could not fulfill the request. The federation explained that all relevant documentation regarding the ₦12 billion fund has been handed over to the EFCC and ICPC as part of their ongoing inquiries.

Reports indicate that the directive was issued on Thursday during an inspection tour of the ongoing construction along Arterial Road N16, which links Ring Road II to Ring Road III. The action came after the acting Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority, Richard Dauda, briefed the minister on buildings encroaching directly onto the project’s path.
Emphasizing that no illegal development will be tolerated to compromise critical public infrastructure or alter the Abuja Master Plan, Wike instructed the Department of Development Control to clear the obstructions right away.
“We’ll have to demolish this right now. How can it be like this? It’s a road and not a layout,” the minister stated.
Describing Arterial Road N16 as a vital project slated for completion by December, Wike also inspected progress on the five-kilometer Zaudna-Kaba-Kagini Road and a Magistrate Court under construction in Garki.
