Mohbad’s Family Responds To Allegations Of Threats Against Late Singer’s Wife....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The family of the deceased singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad, has formally addressed and refuted claims suggesting they have issued threats against the life of the singer’s widow, Wunmi, and their son, Liam…..CONTIUE READING

These allegations surfaced after Wunmi reported receiving menacing calls warning her against seeking justice for her late husband’s demise.

In a statement released on Friday evening by the family’s legal representatives, the accusations were deemed sensitive, with a plea to Wunmi to identify any family members allegedly involved in making such threats.

Signed by Monisola Odumosu, a member of the legal team, the statement emphasized that the family has no intention of intimidating Wunmi, despite unresolved issues regarding Liam’s paternity, Mohbad’s alleged child.

The statement read, “We have noted with concern a news item circulating on social media alleging that the Aloba Family, along with certain bloggers: Bukky Jesse, Yeye Kudi Courtroom, and Adeshina Kasbir Hayat (hereinafter referred to as our Clients), are plotting against the life of the late Ilerioluwa promise Aloba’s widow, also known as Mohbad).

“Given the sensitive nature of the accusation and the ongoing investigation into the untimely death of the late Mohbad, we find it imperative to address Mrs. Wunmi Aloba’s claims.

“In her statement, Mrs. Wunmi Aloba raised some significant concerns. Firstly, she claimed that ‘her late husband’s family has vowed to harm her and her son.’ However, Mrs. Wunmi Aloba failed to provide specific names of those who threatened her and present evidence of the alleged threats issued to her by the Aloba Family.

“As the legal maxim suggests, ‘he who asserts must prove.’ If her pursuit of the truth regarding her late son’s death, Ilerioluwa Aloba, poses a threat to her, she should make this known to the Nigerian public.

“Our clients have neither threatened nor are they in a position to threaten the wife of their late son, despite the unresolved issues surrounding the paternity of their grandchild. Even when Wunmi sent a hostile voice message to Mr. Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, Mr. Aloba chose to overlook it, considering the emotional turmoil from the loss of his son, the late singer.

“Secondly, Mrs. Wunmi Aloba alleged that she had been receiving intimidating calls from various individuals warning her against seeking justice for her late husband’s soul. Fortunately, she did not state in her report that the callers used unknown numbers. Since she has reported this to the Nigerian Police, she should allow the authorities to conduct their investigations to identify the individuals making these calls. The Nigerian Police are well-equipped to handle threats made to a complainant via phone.

“Thirdly, Mrs. Wunmi Aloba expressed dissatisfaction that it has been five months since the Coroner’s Court last convened, and she has not received any updates from the court. Our clients share these concerns, and if she requires clarification, she should consult her legal counsel.

“Our clients, particularly the Tiktokers, assert that they have made fair comments and encouraged Mrs. Wunmi Aloba to speak out about the circumstances surrounding her husband’s death. If these well-intentioned encouragements were perceived as threats against her life, then it is regrettable.

“It is important to clarify that our clients have no motive to issue threats or intimidate Mrs. Wunmi Aloba in any manner. It is evident that all parties are committed to seeking justice for the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba (Mohbad).

“As the saying goes, conscience is an open wound, and only truth can heal it. Both our clients and those involved in the campaign to uncover the truth behind the late singer’s death are after the truth.

“Your Anger Is Misplaced!”: Oby Ezekwesili Exposes The Danger Of Shifting Accountability.to Pastor Adeboye

Former Minister of Education, Obiageli Ezekwesili, has called on Nigerians to stop targeting the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Enoch Adeboye, with their frustrations regarding the state of the nation. She contends that the clergyman is being incorrectly singled out and is not to blame for Nigeria’s current difficulties.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Ezekwesili emphasized the following points in her statement:

  • She characterized Adeboye as a humble servant of God who has spent his life advocating for peace and national development.

  • While acknowledging that many Nigerians want religious leaders to be more vocal in demanding government accountability, she maintained that Adeboye has consistently offered prayers and spoken up for the nation.

  • She explained that long-standing issues—such as systemic corruption, economic hardship, and insecurity—have left Nigerians exhausted and deeply distrustful of politicians, institutions, and influential figures.

  • She warned that the country has a tendency to prioritize less significant issues rather than addressing urgent national crises.

  • Ezekwesili noted that while Adeboye typically responds to criticism with “dignified silence,” she felt compelled to speak publicly to refocus attention on the “urgency of this moment” and the core issue: the need for religious leaders to help rescue the nation from “ineffectual, corrupt, and selfish politicians”.

The security operation led to significant disruptions, including:

  • Checkpoints and barricades were established on major roads leading to the Villa, restricting both vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

  • Many employees were unable to reach their workplaces due to these movement restrictions.

  • Heavy traffic congestion occurred along the corridors of the Supreme Court, the National Assembly, and the Federal Secretariat, leaving many commuters stranded and forcing others to find alternative routes.

The demonstration, organized by human rights activist and African Action Congress presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore alongside the Take It Back Movement, was planned to begin at Eagle Square before moving toward the Presidential Villa. The primary goal of the protest is to demand the immediate release of all victims kidnapped nationwide. Furthermore, organizers have called for President Bola Tinubu to either ensure the safety and release of the captives or resign, citing a perceived failure of the government to protect citizens. This protest reflects growing public outcry regarding the frequency of school attacks and kidnappings, as well as a broader demand for increased accountability and improved security across Nigeria.
