Alhaji Sulaimon faces allegations of causing malicious damage to properties valued at N15,000,000.00 (fifteen million naira), which were purportedly designated for an orphanage home and facilities for disabled children, owned by Mrs. Faith Ojo, a Nigerian businesswoman residing in the United States.
Despite the concerted efforts of the Zone 2 Police to address the reported criminal activities, the primary defendant and his alleged accomplices have managed to evade apprehension, while ongoing police investigations persist.
One of the alleged associates, Lateef Lawal, the spouse of actress Lizzy Anjorin, reportedly evaded arrest in Ikoyi, Lagos State, on February 5, 2024, while his associate was apprehended and remanded in prison.
The case has progressed to the Lagos High Court for civil adjudication via two distinct lawsuits bearing case numbers: SUIT NO: LD/14340LMW/2023 BETWEEN ALHAJI BOLAJI SULAIMON & 3 ORS VS MRS. FAITH OJO AND SUIT NO: LD/14515LMW/2023 BETWEEN MRS. FAITH OJO VS CHIEF RASHEED OLUKOSI & 7 ORS.
Despite the ongoing legal proceedings, the defendants before the Magistrate Court, alongside other individuals allegedly linked to Lateef Lawal, purportedly persist in engaging in land-grabbing activities across Lagos State.
While the bail conditions for the suspect accused of causing malicious damage are pending fulfillment, his alleged associate remains in custody at the Ikoyi Custodial Centre.
Moreover, there are additional allegations suggesting that actress Lizzy Anjorin may be discreetly leveraging her celebrity status to secure the release of the implicated suspect from incarceration.
