This advisory follows reports of several football enthusiasts experiencing shock during the semi-final showdown between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.

In a statement released from Osogbo, Omowaiye recounted his own bout of anxiety during the tense moments of the semi-final, particularly when Nigeria faced a critical penalty towards the game’s end.

Reflecting on his reaction, he disclosed his intention to skip watching the final live, opting instead to catch the replay after learning the outcome, to spare himself the emotional and physical strain.

Furthermore, Omowaiye urged the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to pay homage to the memory of fans who tragically lost their lives while following the semi-final match.

He stressed the significance of acknowledging and honoring the devoted supporters, asserting that those who passed away under such circumstances merit recognition and commemoration.

In his statement, he remarked, “The Super Eagles of Nigeria should pay tribute to those who lost their lives while watching the semi-final match on Wednesday. I want to advise Nigerians, especially those managing hypertension, in their own interest.

“They should refrain from watching the final match on Sunday. It would be better for them to wait until the game concludes and then watch the replay. The way I felt, particularly when Nigeria was awarded a penalty during the semi-final match, was unlike anything I had experienced before. I was trembling.

“Even after the match, I continued to feel tremors. I advise Nigerians with hypertension to avoid watching the final match. The NFF must recognize the individuals who lost their lives due to shock during the semi-final match.

“A prominent leader of APC in Delta State, Dr. Cairo, collapsed during the match, and a notable Nigerian entrepreneur operating in Cote D’Ivoire also passed away. Additionally, the Deputy Bursar of a university in Kwara State collapsed.

“It was also reported that a Corps member in Kaduna fainted and died during the match. These are the reported incidents, and there may be several other unreported cases.

“What Is He Hiding? Ex-Minister Challenges Jonathan Over Controversial Return!”.

Published

Edem Duke, a former Minister of Culture, Tourism, and National Orientation, has rejected the idea that former President Goodluck Jonathan might re-enter active partisan politics for the 2027 general election. Speaking during an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time, Duke characterized these rumors as misguided, asserting that Jonathan’s established status as a respected statesman should remain above political maneuvering.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Highlighting Jonathan’s legacy as a defining figure in Nigeria’s democracy, Duke expressed concern that political actors are attempting to exploit the former President’s integrity for their own agendas. He questioned the logic of dragging a figure of Jonathan’s continental and global stature into what he described as a “political lottery”.

Duke argued that those who are currently unable to manage their own political affairs are trying to use Jonathan as a “pawn on the political dashboard”. He emphasized the following points:

  • Jonathan is a cerebral leader whose influence as a statesman should be expanded globally rather than diminished by electoral competition.

  • Duke expressed “trepidation” at the thought of Jonathan risking his hard-earned reputation for another presidential bid.

  • He believes Jonathan possesses the wisdom to recognize these political machinations.

  • Ultimately, Duke maintained that the former President understands that his current standing is far more valuable than the risks associated with pursuing another four years in office.

“Tinubu’s Secret Weapon? Kenneth Okonkwo Drops Bombshell Claim About Peter Obi’s 2027 Bid!”.

Published

Kenneth Okonkwo, a prominent chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), recently offered a critical assessment of Nigeria’s opposition landscape ahead of the 2027 general elections during an interview with Symfoni TV. The actor and politician argued that current maneuvers within the opposition risk undermining their collective ability to challenge President Bola Tinubu, as fragmented votes or lack of unity play directly into the incumbent’s hands.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

A central focus of Okonkwo’s critique was directed at the former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi. Okonkwo highlighted that Obi had previously joined the ADC of his own accord only to exit abruptly before the party’s internal processes concluded. Questioning the resilience required for high-level leadership, Okonkwo asserted that those aspiring to the presidency must be prepared to endure internal party competition rather than evade it.

Expressing concern over the potential impact on the upcoming election, Okonkwo warned that supporting Obi in 2027 would effectively serve as an indirect vote for President Tinubu by splitting the opposition. He stated:

“It is either you are working for Tinubu directly, in other words you are in APC, or you are working for Tinubu indirectly, because when you divide the votes of the coalition and the opposition, you are still making Tinubu better placed to win… You want to be the president of a challenged country, and you are running away from challenges. In 2027, anybody voting any vote whatsoever to Peter Obi is voting for Tinubu, and don’t say I didn’t tell you.”

“I’ll Return To Crime”: Shocking Admission From Repentant Bandit Revealed By Ex-Defence Spokesperson!.

Major General John Enenche (Rtd.), the former Director of Defence Information, has advocated for a more aggressive strategy to combat banditry across Nigeria. Drawing on his experience as a former Defence spokesperson, he noted that many individuals who claim to have “repented” frequently harbor intentions to return to criminal activities, regardless of any rehabilitation or reform programs they undergo.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

During an interview on Channels Television, he recounted his firsthand observations from a visit to a camp in Gombe State. He shared that several surrendered fighters candidly admitted that, even after serving prison time or completing rehabilitation, they planned to rejoin their armed groups.

Highlighting the limitations of relying solely on peace-building and rehabilitation efforts, he remarked:

“They have killed people all over the place and say they are repenting later. I was part of it. I even went to their camp in Gombe to interview them, and some would tell me that even if you take me to prison and bring me out, I am still going back and join them. What do you do? That means we take the bull by the horns.”

He emphasized that while some may reform, others remain dangerously committed to violence, posing a continued threat to the public. Consequently, he argued that security agencies must adopt a more robust, multi-faceted approach, prioritizing the decisive dismantling of criminal networks to effectively restore peace and security in affected regions.
