Despite its delicate appearance, its venomous tentacles can inflict excruciating pain and, in severe cases, lead to death within minutes.
Comprising a complex network of nematocysts, tiny harpoon-like structures loaded with potent venom, the Box Jellyfish’s tentacles deliver a venomous cocktail that targets the nervous system and cardiovascular system of its prey.
