At 882 feet long and 175 feet high, the Titanic was the largest and most luxurious ocean liner of its time, boasting opulent amenities and accommodations fit for the wealthiest passengers. However, beneath its grandeur lay a fatal flaw – a lack of adequate lifeboats to accommodate all passengers and crew in the event of an emergency.

Tragically, on the night of April 14, 1912, the Titanic struck an iceberg in the frigid waters of the North Atlantic, tearing a mortal wound in its hull. Despite valiant efforts to contain the damage and evacuate passengers, the ship ultimately succumbed to its fate, sinking beneath the waves in the early hours of April 15, 1912.

The loss of life was staggering, with over 1,500 passengers and crew perishing in the icy waters. The sinking of the Titanic sent shockwaves around the world, prompting widespread mourning and calls for reform in maritime safety regulations.

In the aftermath of the disaster, investigations revealed a litany of errors and oversights that contributed to the tragedy, including inadequate lifeboat provisions, a lack of binoculars for the lookout crew, and miscommunications regarding the presence of ice in the ship’s path.

Despite the profound tragedy of the Titanic, its legacy endures as a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. The sinking of the Titanic prompted sweeping reforms in maritime safety regulations, leading to the establishment of stricter standards for ship construction, navigation, and emergency preparedness.

According to the source, the twins maintained a daily routine of speaking around midnight, but the conversation took a sudden turn that night when unusual activity was noticed at the General’s end.

He said the line went dead abruptly after the General paused during the call, apparently due to the unfolding situation at the base.

The twin brother reportedly made repeated attempts to reconnect, sending messages and calling continuously, but received no response throughout the night.

“He kept trying until about 4 am, but there was no answer,” the source said.
