Peseiro emphasized the quality of the Bafana Bafana, acknowledging them as a formidable team and highlighting the importance of securing a victory over them.

Following their triumph against Angola in the quarter-finals, Nigeria is gearing up to face South Africa, who secured their spot in the semi-finals by defeating Cape Verde.

“It’s important to win the AFCON, beat South Africa. Everybody knows when I signed the contract I came here to win the AFCON, but we have not won yet; we need to beat South Africa, after that, play the final,” Peseiro stated during an interview with Hot Sports.

Highlighting the significance of the upcoming match, he commented, “It will be a tough match against a good team.”

Expressing contentment with the team’s progress, Peseiro emphasized the need for comprehensive preparations, ensuring players’ recovery both on and off the pitch, adequate rest, quality sleep, and proper nutrition to ensure they perform at their best against South Africa.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 6 pm Nigerian time.
