Kogi State Assembly Affirms Appointment Of 15 New Commissioners

Our correspondent, who observed the screening process on the house floor, reports that the Eighth Assembly confirmed a diverse set of commissioners, including Farouk Yusuf, Salami Ozigi-Deedat, Basiru Gegu, Dr. Adams Abdulaziz, and Joseph Stephen.
The list also includes Muizideen Abdullahi, Rabiatu Okute, Kingsley Fanwo, Fatima Momoh, Mohammed Yusuf, Timothy Ojoma, Sunday Faleke, Mr. Abanika Taye, Idris Asiru, and Mohammed Abdulmutalib.
Addressing the confirmed commissioners, Speaker Aliyu Yusuf urged them to dedicate themselves to the state’s development. He emphasized, “Today, you have been officially confirmed as commissioners. You are expected to live up to the expectations of Kogites and not disappoint His Excellency.”
It was previously reported by PUNCH Online that the newly inaugurated governor, in his inauguration speech on Saturday, unveiled nine commissioner-designates, all drawn from the former cabinet of the immediate past governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
According to the report, the confirmed commissioners, along with other cabinet members announced on Saturday, are scheduled to be sworn in on Wednesday.
