The kidnappers, suspected to be members of the neighborhood, reportedly demanded a ransom of N1.5 million. The father, Sunday Iboin, expressed suspicion that one of his neighbors was involved in orchestrating the kidnapping.

In a press statement issued on Wednesday by the Office of the State Commander of the Corps, Soji Ganzallo, through the Office of the Director of Information and Public Relations, Moruf Yusuf, the rescue operation was detailed. According to the statement, Sunday Iboin reported the kidnapping at the Olorunda Post of the Corps on Tuesday, revealing that his son had been taken the previous night.

When the operational team of the Corps received the report, they swiftly devised a strategy and launched an operation to confront the suspected kidnappers in a forest several kilometers away from the point of abduction. The team successfully rescued Otohu Moses, who was unharmed but had marks from physical abuse on his body. Unfortunately, the three armed kidnappers managed to escape with a motorcycle.

The rescued victim was subsequently handed over to operatives from the state police command attached to Imala Divisional Police Headquarters.
