In an interview with Saturday PUNCH, the State PDP Publicity Secretary, Akinloye Bankole, described Oluomo’s removal as a positive step, asserting that the former speaker had been found wanting since assuming office. According to Bankole, Oluomo’s removal should have occurred much earlier, highlighting his controversial emergence after the elections last year and alleging that he was imposed on the House by the leadership of the APC and the state governor.
Bankole expressed gratitude to the members of the State Assembly for their courage in putting an end to what he referred to as the era of insensitivity represented by Hon. Oluomo.
