The 36-year-old striker engaged in his inaugural training session with the Major League Soccer (MLS) club after departing Brazilian side Gremio.
Suarez becomes part of a quartet of ex-Barcelona players at Inter Miami, alongside Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets, both of whom joined the club last year.
With a prolific track record that includes stints with Ajax, Liverpool, and Atletico Madrid, Suarez, who netted 26 goals for Gremio last season, conveyed his ambitions for success with his new team.
Speaking at a press conference post-training, he stated, “Football is perpetually about challenges, and Inter Miami presented a promising opportunity for me to dream of winning the MLS, a feat this club has not achieved.”
Coaxed into the move by Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham, Suarez shared that he is “dreaming big” for the forthcoming MLS season set to commence on February 21.
Delighting in the reunion with familiar faces at his new club, Suarez emphasized the significance of their camaraderie, stating, “The fact that we are reuniting speaks volumes about the friendship we share, about our on-field chemistry.
