“Political Acting 101: Doris Ogala Tears Into Peter Obi, Claims He Lacks Real Leadership”.

Published

on

During an appearance on The Clarity Zone Podcast, Abia State African Action Congress (AAC) governorship candidate Doris Ogala explained her reasons for rejecting Peter Obi and aligning instead with the AAC.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Ogala expressed skepticism regarding Obi’s political sincerity, describing his actions as performative rather than visionary. She further emphasized that a credible national leader must possess the capacity to safeguard the mandate of the electorate, a quality she feels is missing in Obi. In contrast, she chose the AAC because of its clear manifesto, which champions educational access for every child and meaningful inclusion for women.

She said the ability to defend the people’s mandate was one of the qualities she expected from any politician seeking to lead the country.

She said: “I see Peter Obi as an actor. Everything he does is acting for me. I don’t see leadership in Obi. I don’t feel it. I don’t see him as someone who can defend my vote, who can protect Nigerian votes. I joined AAC because I looked at their manifesto. They believe in women inclusion, they believe in every child going to school.”

“Atiku’s 2027 Ambition Non-Negotiable: Why He Can Never Step Down for Peter Obi, Says Ardo”

During an appearance on ARISE News, political strategist and League of Northern Democrats Convener Umar Ardo pointed out major structural hurdles preventing a merger between Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi ahead of the 2027 elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Ardo noted that while Atiku is unlikely to step down voluntarily, doing so wouldn’t alienate his core supporters. Conversely, while Peter Obi might be more inclined to step aside, his support base would likely break away and refuse to follow his lead. Despite these obstacles to a joint ticket, Ardo maintains that each politician retains enough individual strategic weight to challenge the incumbent independently.

“Then Peter Obi has the propensity to say, ‘I will step down.’ But if he says so, he will not have his support base. He will not be able to carry his support base. His support base will not go with him. So, now, these are the two problems.

“Unless we are able to resolve these two challenges, then I don’t see the fusing together being possible. However, even if they do not fuse together, individually, anyone of them has the capacity to upturn the order, depending on how he strategises himself.

“So, even if they don’t, they still have the capacity to win the election against the incumbent on an individual basis.”

  • Starting Lineup: New recruits including Frank Onyeka, Aurele Amenda, Loum Tchaouna, Carl Rushworth, and record signing Caleb Yirenkyi all made the starting XI, while Gustavo Hamer and Taiwo Awoniyi featured from the bench.
