He described the people of Plateau as peaceful and hospitable, asserting that they do not deserve the dehumanizing acts inflicted upon them.
Calling for a comprehensive approach involving citizens of all faiths, Dogara emphasized the dangerous nature of the perpetrators and the imperative for the Commander in Chief to take action against them. He stressed the importance of locating and bringing the culprits and their sponsors to justice.
Governor Mutfwang appreciated Dogara’s visit and highlighted the true narrative of the killings as being rooted in banditry and terrorism rather than farmer-herder clashes. He commended President Tinubu’s willingness and desire to address the issues, expressing optimism for a positive shift in the current administration’s approach to ending the carnage.
Mutfwang reiterated his administration’s commitment to collaborating with the Federal Government to bring an end to the decades-long attacks in the state. He also extended condolences to Dogara on the loss of his mother, praying for the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
