This landmark announcement followed an extraordinary convening of the coalition in Benin City, the political hub of Edo State. During this historic assembly, the coalition unequivocally affirmed their collective decision to rally behind Olumide Akpata, citing the urgent need for a reset in Edo’s state governance.

Aidenojie Enaholo, representing the coalition, emphasized that their coming together from five separate Esan youth groups signifies a strong dedication to reshaping the direction of Edo State.

Enaholo asserted that their choice of Olumide Akpata stems from the belief that he embodies the requisites crucial for Edo’s resurgence. They underscored the imperative for leadership endowed with a multifaceted approach: possessing strong leadership acumen, transparency in decision-making processes, effective communication proficiency, unwavering integrity, a compelling vision for holistic development, adept resource management skills, a collaborative spirit, genuine empathy towards constituents, a firm commitment to accountability, and an unswerving dedication to serving the public interest.

The coalition expressed collective confidence in Akpata’s capacity to encapsulate these vital characteristics and steer Edo State toward an epoch of progress, prosperity, and accountable governance.

Enaholo elaborated on their choice to transcend the concept of zoning, emphasizing that, in their conviction, the future of Edo State hinges on meritocracy rather than geographical or zoning considerations. The coalition firmly believes that for Edo to attain greatness, it is imperative to enlist the most qualified and competent hands, regardless of regional considerations.

The Ultimate Confession: Senator Buba Drops Bombshell, Admits Military Force Alone Can’t Save Nigeria

on

Senator Shehu Buba, representing Bauchi South Senatorial District and former chairman of the Senate Committee on National Security and Intelligence, has strongly refuted ongoing allegations connecting him to banditry, dismissing viral social media claims and videos as a deliberate campaign to tarnish his reputation. The controversy was reignited by content creator D English Alhaji, featuring an interview with an individual named Hassan who accused the lawmaker of supporting bandits and alleged that associates of wanted bandit leader Dogo Gide were brought to Abuja for special training through one of the senator’s aides.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Releasing a statement on Sunday, Buba challenged the validity of the claims, maintained that he has no aide by the cited name, and called on security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation, emphasizing that viral videos do not substitute for proper evidentiary standards. He noted that he previously chose to remain silent due to the sensitive nature of his former security oversight role, but stressed that political opposition should never cross into character assassination and fabrication. Furthermore, the senator asserted that Nigeria cannot overcome its security challenges through military might alone, arguing that lasting stability depends heavily on earning the trust of vulnerable communities rather than resorting to blackmail and unsubstantiated allegations.

Shutting Out The Elite: NELFUND Reveals The Shocking Reason Ruling Party Kids Miss Out On Loans

Published

on

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), Akintunde Sawyerr, has dismissed accusations that the federal student loan initiative gives preferential treatment to the children of All Progressives Congress (APC) members. Speaking during an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, Sawyerr rejected the claims as entirely baseless, emphasizing that the fully electronic application structure makes it practically impossible to filter or favor applicants by political ties. He pointed out that the target beneficiaries are students—many of whom are too young to vote, voting for the first time, or completely unaffiliated with any political party—and noted that even a manual system would struggle to verify political membership.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Sawyerr stressed that the loan framework relies strictly on objective eligibility guidelines rather than personal backgrounds. To qualify, applicants must apply online through a digital process, supplying mandatory details such as their names and valid matriculation numbers while enrolled in a public institution. Furthermore, he highlighted that the platform is engineered to be entirely impartial, showing no bias toward gender, tribe, or religious beliefs—whether Christian, Muslim, or traditional—ensuring a completely blind and equitable evaluation system.

‘I Won’t Blame Tinubu’: Adebayo Draws Battle Line For 2027 Presidency

Published

on

Adewole Adebayo, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has declared that he will take full responsibility for the state of the nation and refrain from blaming President Bola Tinubu should he win the 2027 presidential election. Speaking on Sunday during an appearance on TVC’s Politics, Adebayo noted that while he is well aware of the current administration’s missteps, any incoming leader must be ready to inherit both the assets and liabilities left behind. He emphasized that once he takes the oath of office, everything done by his predecessor becomes part of his administration’s portfolio, just as he would benefit from existing infrastructure like the State House and established universities.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Beyond his stance on political accountability, Adebayo also expressed serious concerns regarding the future of Nigeria’s democracy, cautioning that it faces threats if what he views as President Tinubu’s dictatorial tendencies persist. During a Wednesday interview on Arise Television’s Morning Show, he argued that systemic issues like fuel subsidies are secondary to the primary threat facing the nation: the potential loss of the democratic system itself if free, fair, and credible elections cannot be secured. Furthermore, he attributed rising voter apathy directly to political actors failing to provide the electorate with a compelling alternative and a visionary roadmap for the country.
