‘She Threatened To Accuse Me Of Rape’ – Seyi Tinubu’s Bodyguard Accuses Jaruma.

A security aide to Seyi Tinubu, Olawale Dare, has accused controversial sex therapist Hauwa Saidu, popularly known as Jaruma, of attempting to extort ₦100 million from him following a brief sexual relationship.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Dare alleged that Jaruma threatened to disclose their relationship to his boss and accuse him of rape if he failed to pay the amount.

The allegations were contained in a statement he reportedly submitted to the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre on October 8, 2026. SaharaReporters obtained a copy of the statement.

Jaruma is known for selling Kayanmata, traditional products associated with intimacy and relationships, which are popular in parts of northern Nigeria.

Dare, who said he had been part of Seyi Tinubu’s security team since 2022, told investigators that a friend identified as Faizal introduced him to Jaruma at a lounge in Abuja in late 2025.

According to his account, he and Jaruma spent the night together at his residence. He claimed that the following morning, she revealed that she was a Kayanmata dealer.

Dare further alleged that Jaruma subsequently asked him to invest between ₦100 million and ₦200 million in her business, promising returns of up to ₦700 million.

He said he turned down the proposal because he did not have the financial capacity to invest such an amount.

The security aide also claimed that Jaruma later told him she was experiencing a spiritual problem and requested that he connect her with a herbalist or an Islamic cleric.

Dare said he was only able to recommend a Celestial church where she could receive counselling.

He added that Jaruma later complained that her ATM card was not working and requested financial assistance, prompting him to give her between ₦30,000 and ₦40,000.

However, Dare alleged that their relationship eventually deteriorated, with Jaruma threatening to inform Seyi Tinubu about their affair unless he paid her ₦100 million.

“That she is going to inform my boss about what we had together and I must pay her 100 million naira,” he reportedly told the police.

He further alleged that Jaruma threatened to accuse him of rape and claimed that 12 women were prepared to support the allegations.

Dare said his friends initially advised him against reporting the matter to the authorities. He explained that he remained silent because he did not want to give Jaruma publicity, adding that she had yet to release the videos she allegedly threatened to publish.

In the statement, Dare also denied any involvement in the alleged cyberstalking of Rayan Kamal, a businesswoman and personal assistant to Seyi Tinubu, whose complaint reportedly prompted a separate police investigation involving Jaruma.

Jaruma had allegedly made several social media posts claiming that Kamal dated Seyi Tinubu for three years and that he established a business for her.

Dare described his relationship with Kamal as strictly professional and denied sharing her private information with Jaruma.

“No, I did not conspire with anyone to cyberstalk her,” he said.

He also claimed that he blocked Jaruma after their first meeting and had evidence that she had been stalking him online.

“I have the prove that Ms Jaruma was cyber-stalking me all those time and I am ready to provide it to the police when requested,” he added.

Meanwhile, Jaruma has reportedly been charged with two counts of cyberstalking over TikTok posts allegedly directed at Kamal and Seyi Tinubu. The charges were contained in a charge sheet dated October 23, 2026.

The allegations made by Dare remain claims contained in his statement, and the account provided does not establish that they have been proven in court.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has received several petitions from political parties and candidates over the omission of their names from its final list of candidates for the 2027 general elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Sources within the commission told Daily Trust that INEC would review the complaints at its next meeting scheduled for Thursday, October 29, 2026.

The sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity, disclosed that the commission received numerous petitions before the 14-day period allowed for complaints expired on Saturday.

The petition window was opened following the publication of candidates’ particulars by INEC.

“Yesterday (Saturday) was the final day for receiving petitions. Up until that time, we were still receiving petitions,” one of the sources said.

Among those affected by the omissions are former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Pantami, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Gombe State, and Ladi Adebutu, the party’s governorship candidate in Ogun State.

Other candidates whose cases are expected to be considered include Aminu Gwarzo, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) governorship candidate in Kano State; Senator Danjuma Laah, the NDC candidate in Kaduna State; and Sebastine Hon, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship nominee in Benue State.

Another source said INEC had already received a preliminary report on the petitions but would not reach a final position until the deadline for submissions had passed.

“There was a kind of preliminary report, but the final report can only come out after the deadline for receiving petitions,” the source stated.

Although the official did not disclose the number of political parties that submitted petitions, the source explained that all complaints were addressed to the INEC chairman and were being examined by the relevant departments.

“Of course, all petitions are addressed to the chairman. You need to sit down with them for the advice of the department. As a department, we have been going through all that, and they had a preliminary report,” the source added.

When asked whether Pantami’s case would be considered at Thursday’s meeting, the official said all petitions would be handled in accordance with the law.

“All the cases. It is what the law says. After publication, they have two weeks to petition, whether they think it will be fair or unfair to them,” the source said.

The official also linked the timing of the meeting to INEC Chairman, Professor Joash Amupitan’s ongoing zonal tour ahead of the 2027 elections.

The source explained that Amupitan was expected to visit Gombe on Sunday or Monday and return on Wednesday, paving the way for the commission’s meeting the following day.

“So, our next meeting, I know it’s on Thursday because even the chairman is on Zonal tour. Today (Sunday) or tomorrow (Monday), he should be in Gombe and come back on Wednesday. And when they come back on Wednesday, we will have a meeting on Thursday,” the source said.

Nigerian socialite Paschal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has called on President Bola Tinubu to remove the Minister of Works, David Umahi, from his position.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Chief Priest made the demand in a post shared on his Instagram page, where he criticised Umahi’s performance and questioned the benefits the Southeast region had gained from having one of its own head the Federal Ministry of Works.

The socialite described Umahi as one of the worst ministers the region had produced, arguing that his appointment had not translated into significant benefits for the Igbo people.

He also criticised another minister from Imo State, whom he described as the worst minister the Southeast had ever produced.

According to Chief Priest, both ministers have failed to create meaningful opportunities for the people of the region despite occupying influential positions in the Federal Government.

Urging Tinubu to replace the ministers, the socialite questioned their contributions to the region and their ability to mobilise political support for the President.

He wrote: “Always blabbing, The second to worst minister southeast ever had. We have nothing to show for it as a region that had minister of works. the worst minister na my sister from imo state that one na fluke of a minister. Asiwaju you gats change these failures of ministers for us, the one from my state can’t even get 1k votes for Asiwaju.

“Nobody for our state even know say we once had minister of finance, minister of trade & investment but Igbos no even see any opportunity, Minister Wey Dey beg to call meeting for am that one fit get vote. No Impact no level na boys just use mama cash out.”

Chief Priest’s comments centred on what he described as the failure of some Southeast ministers to deliver tangible benefits to their constituents, despite their positions in the current administration.

He maintained that the region had yet to see sufficient opportunities or meaningful results from the appointments, urging Tinubu to reconsider the performance of the affected ministers.
