The report highlighted that the government’s overall revenue collection experienced a 50.1% increase in the third quarter of 2023, amounting to N4.79 trillion.

Despite surpassing the benchmark by 9.5%, the figures fell short of the budget target.

The improved performance was attributed to higher receipts from various sources, including Company Income Tax, Customs and Excise Duties, Value-Added Tax, Production Sharing Contract, and the 2023 interim dividend declared by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited.
