Akeredolu, who succumbed to leukaemia and prostate cancer in Germany on Wednesday, is remembered as a leader committed to creating a conducive atmosphere for all Nigerians, irrespective of tribe, religion, or state of origin, to reside and thrive in Ondo State. The factional Secretary-General of Ohanaeze, in the statement, conveyed thoughts and prayers to Akeredolu’s wife, Chief Mrs. Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu, during this difficult time.
The late governor’s legacy is highlighted as not just that of a nationalist but also a staunch advocate for restructuring, showcasing his unwavering belief in a more equitable and just Nigeria. Akeredolu’s dedication to fostering unity and inclusivity has left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of the people he served.
