Represented by Dr. Week Doodei, NDDC Director of Procurement, and Godknows Alamieyeseigha, Director of the Bayelsa State Office of the Commission, Ogbuku handed over the relief materials to representatives of the affected communities. The items, including food, household necessities, farm inputs, and livelihood items like canoes, fishing nets, and hooks, aim to assist residents in coping with their losses.
Ogbuku reassured the community leaders that the NDDC remains committed to addressing challenges in the Niger Delta region, stating, “We share in the pains of the victims of the flooding in Bayelsa State. We realize that they have lost a lot which cannot be replaced.”

Ogbuku warned against hoarding or diverting items, emphasizing the agency’s commitment to monitoring the distribution process to ensure that aid reaches the affected areas.
Community leaders were directed to oversee the transportation and distribution of the relief materials to different local government areas and communities, ensuring that the assistance reaches those most in need.
