The award was presented by the Yobe State CAN chairman, Bishop Yohanna Audu, and association leaders during a Christmas visit to the Governor at the Government House in Damaturu. Governor Buni received praise for his leadership style, which embraces individuals regardless of tribe, region, or religion.
The association also commended his efforts in fostering peace, unity, and religious harmony in the state, highlighting the inclusive approach to appointments in his administration.
Additionally, the Yobe State Government’s support for various community initiatives, including providing bulls for festivals, offering palliatives, granting scholarships to foreign students, and allocating pilgrimage slots, was acknowledged.
In response, Governor Buni expressed gratitude for the award and affirmed his commitment to providing equal opportunities for all residents, emphasizing the collective responsibility of building a peaceful society.
