Lagbaja acknowledged the crucial role they play in ensuring the nation’s security, particularly highlighting their sacrifice during the festive season. Despite their longing to be with their families, these soldiers will remain stationed in hard-to-reach areas, working tirelessly to maintain the safety and stability of communities.

Brig.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, the Director of Army Public Relations, conveyed the Chief of Army Staff’s message through a statement, emphasizing the soldiers’ unwavering resolve and selfless service. Gen. Lagbaja expressed deep gratitude for the soldiers’ sacrifices, recognizing their enduring efforts and steadfast commitment to national security.

Gen. Lagbaja also shared optimistic expectations for the upcoming year, citing the Federal Government’s policies and unfolding programs. He disclosed that the Nigerian Army anticipates the delivery of helicopters and other combat enablers in the coming year to enhance security across the country.

The Chief of Army Staff highlighted ongoing welfare projects initiated by the Army Headquarters, directly impacting the lives of soldiers and their families. He reiterated the paramount importance of the troops’ well-being and assured them of continuous efforts to provide the necessary resources for effective duty execution.
