During a one-day retreat on Digitalization held in Abuja on Tuesday for the Head of Service and Permanent Secretaries, Yemi-Esan emphasized the theme, ‘Towards the Digitalization of the Public Service by 2025,’ aligning with all FCSSIP25 pillars and their connection to digitalization. She asserted that to align with these pillars, the Service must modernize its work processes.

While urging MDAs to harness technology to advance the national goals of the Renewed Hope Agenda, the HoSF expressed dissatisfaction with Nigeria’s digitalization progress, noting that 90% of governments worldwide have already embraced digitalization and actively implemented Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions.

News reports that the matter is before Justice Darius Khobo, who fixed the new date during proceedings held on Tuesday in Kaduna.

El-Rufai is currently facing multiple charges related to alleged financial misconduct and abuse of office, brought against him by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission.

The former governor arrived at the court premises around 9 a.m. in a convoy, accompanied by officials of the anti-corruption agency and operatives of the Department of State Services, with heavy security deployed around the court to control movement.

Speaking after the session, his counsel, Ukpon Akpan, raised concerns over the repeated adjournments of the bail application, suggesting that the delays may be politically motivated.

The court is expected to resume hearing of the case in June.

2027: NRM Vows To Field Presidential Candidate, Rules Out Alliance With Any Party.

Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja on Tuesday, the party’s National Chairman, Prince Chinedu Obi, said NRM is focused on building a strong platform that will produce a credible presidential candidate capable of challenging the incumbent government in 2027.

Responding to questions from journalists, Obi reiterated that the party would contest the elections independently, stressing: “We are not planning to merge with any political party or join any coalition. We will produce our own presidential candidate.”

He also claimed that the Federal High Court had resolved the party’s internal dispute following the dismissal of an appeal filed by a faction led by Chief Edozie Njoku.

According to him, NRM now stands as one of the strongest political parties in the country, insisting that reports of internal crisis were false and influenced by non-members.
