Addressing reporters in Kano to dispel rumors of a conspiracy to compromise the court process in the Kano governorship dispute, Dungurawa dismissed the APC’s Sunday statement as “profit-driven, reckless, and baseless.”

Emphasizing the sanctity of the Kano mandate, the Chairman asserted that his party does not require external validation of its victory. He explained that in politics, interests play a crucial role in determining goals, highlighting the shared goal between President Tinubu and NNPP National leader Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, which is the emancipation of the downtrodden.

Dungurawa clarified that this common ground was what attracted President Tinubu to woo Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to the opposition party in 2015, resulting in a resounding APC victory. He pointed out that Kwankwaso secured all political seats in Kano for APC, and in 2023, the NNPP repeated this success.

Highlighting the circumstances, Dungurawa suggested that President Tinubu may have chosen to distance himself from the influence of Ganduje for a winning alliance. He concluded by stating awareness of moves by Ganduje and his associates ahead of the Supreme Court judgment but emphasized that power ultimately belongs to God. Regardless of their efforts, if God determines that Abba will continue as the Governor of Kano State, there is nothing they can do.
