Specifically addressing Boma Goodhead, a member of the House of Representatives who recently challenged former governor Nyesom Wike not to set foot in Rivers state, Woke advised against making provocative statements.

In his statement, Woke remarked, “Those who live in glass houses should refrain from throwing stones. I heard a lady, whose name escapes me at the moment, making bold statements. The last time I recall her, she was pleading with Nyesom Wike at the campaign office along Woji Road, vowing not to betray him in the presence of her parents.”

“Due to being awarded the contract to renovate the Rivers state governor’s lodge in Abuja at Asokoro, she now dares Wike to come to Port Harcourt. Let me remind her that Wike has been in Port Harcourt since Friday. If she is indeed courageous, let her challenge Wike, and she will face the consequences.”

Woke also stressed the importance of avoiding the escalation of ethnic tensions, stating, “I want to emphasize that for those who are sowing the seeds of ethnic conflict, no particular ethnic group possesses a monopoly on violence. As the Igbo saying goes, ‘Nobody should touch a Tiger’s tail, whether it is awake or sleeping.'”

  • The club is reportedly planning to offer Osimhen the captain’s armband for the 2026/27 season, a move supported by head coach Okan Buruk, who has lauded the striker’s leadership and work ethic.

  • Chelsea: The club maintains an interest in the player but is currently proceeding with more caution than its rivals.
