The statement conveyed the party’s pleasure with the court’s decision to uphold the election victories of Mani Katami for Binji Silame Federal Constituency, Abdussamad Dasuki for Kebbe-Tambuwal Federal Constituency, Sa’idu Bargaja for Isa-Sabon-Birni Federal Constituency, and Bashir Gorau for Goronyo Gada Federal Constituency.

Highlighting the significance of the judgment, the statement emphasized the trust and backing the people of Sokoto State have placed in the PDP and its candidates, reflecting the electorate’s preference for the party’s progressive governance philosophy.

The PDP encouraged continued support for its ideals and expressed confidence that the people’s mandate, as expressed in the 2023 elections, would be upheld through the ongoing judicial processes at various levels.

Mokwa noted that while collections for Companies Income Tax, Petroleum Profit Tax, oil and gas royalties, and several other duties saw notable growth, there was a recorded downturn in collections for VAT, excise duty, and Common External Tariff levies.
