Shettima, who visited the victims of the attack, revealed that President Bola Tinubu had directed the initiation of the Pullako Initiative in Kaduna State. The initiative aims to provide comprehensive support to Tudun Biri village, including houses, clinics, schools, veterinary clinics, empowerment initiatives, and solar energy, as a form of compensation for the damage caused by the drone misfire.
In a statement from his media aide, Stanley Nkwocha, Shettima disclosed this information after visiting casualties at the Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital in Kaduna, where many women and children were undergoing treatment.
Additionally, the Vice President instructed the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to mobilize and offer adequate assistance to the victims of the tragedy in Tudun Biri village.
The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) officially reported 81 dead and 71 injured and receiving treatment as a result of the Kaduna drone strike. Furthermore, the United States government urged the responsible deployment of artificial intelligence by the military, emphasizing the need to avoid unintended consequences.
In response to the incident, Shettima expressed President Tinubu’s decision to rebuild Tudun Biri, outlining the comprehensive Pullako Initiative as a non-kinetic approach to address challenges in the North West. Shettima conveyed the President’s concern for the tragic event, emphasizing the federal government’s commitment to supporting the affected community.
Lastly, around 300 heavily armed terrorists, fleeing joint military operations in Niger and Kaduna States, reportedly flooded Tsohon Kabula village in Niger State. The villagers evacuated due to fears of potential violence, and the military is said to be taking measures to address the situation.
