The bishop conveyed these sentiments in his welcome address during the graduation ceremony for vocational skills trainees and the distribution of Start-Up Kits to 400 individuals trained by Caritas Nigeria in Ekiti State.
According to Ajakaye, there is no justification for Nigerians to experience poverty, and he lamented the existing gap in good governance. He asserted that eradicating poverty is achievable if both the government and citizens are committed to the cause. Ajakaye emphasized the need for the government to create a conducive environment that enables self-sufficiency and skill development.
The bishop urged citizens to actively participate in poverty eradication by showcasing their skills and demonstrating a willingness to take on responsibilities. He underscored that while the government cannot cater to all needs, a collaborative effort from both authorities and individuals would contribute to societal improvement.
