The letter, titled “Enough of the repeated and reckless killings of innocent civilians in Northern Nigeria,” expressed deep shock over the incident, emphasizing that such civilian casualties from aerial bombardments had occurred previously but were often overlooked when happening in the North.

The letter questioned the lack of proper intelligence information and efficient strategic analysis leading to such aerial bombardments. It raised concerns about the recurring incidents and called for accountability and responsibility for the recklessness. The council conveyed the grieving messages of the Northern people, expressing hope that the leaders would understand the public anger, frustration, and mass outrage.
