Abia State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Ngozi Okoronkwo, alongside Commissioner for Information and Culture, Okey Kanu, disclosed the development in Umuahia.

The suspension was attributed to over-bloated admissions in the Amachara School of Nursing and School of Nursing, Umuahia, with 420 students admitted instead of the approved 75 spots. The Abia State government is actively working to address the admission discrepancies and find a resolution to the situation.

The PST examination has been contentious, with accusations of compromise and calls for cancellation. Some students claimed exclusion based on WAEC results during the re-sit examination, but the health commissioner revealed instances of alleged fake WAEC results among protesting students.
