In a statement released by EFCC Spokesperson Dele Oyewale on Saturday in Abuja, Olukoyede made the appeal during an interaction between the EFCC and CSOs in Akwa-Ibom, Abia, and Cross River.

Olukoyede emphasized that the fight against corruption requires the support of all national stakeholders, including the general public.

“Don’t leave the fight against corruption to the EFCC alone; support the work of CSOs to enlighten the public, particularly those at the grassroots. It’s all about sacrifice. We at the EFCC want to ensure that things are working. We must all put our hands on deck to enable us to win this fight,” he stated.

Participants closer to the grassroots were encouraged to disseminate information about anti-corruption efforts by the EFCC chairman, who was represented by Bawa Saidu, the Commission’s Uyo Zonal Commander.

Olukoyede also urged CSOs to provide the EFCC with relevant intelligence to uncover unethical behavior in society, emphasizing that such assistance is critical as every Nigerian benefits from the EFCC’s success.

During his speech, Mr. Tony Orilade, Head of the Commission’s Public Interface Unit, outlined various methods for the public to contact the Commission, including reaching out through the Commission’s website.

Orilade stated that the public could contact the commission at any time they deemed necessary.

Discussing the expected contributions from CSOs to the Commission, ASE II Aisha Mohammed stated that the engagement aimed to gather additional ideas on how to combat corruption.

“We need you to be our eyes, our ears. We are here to brainstorm on how we can improve on our preventive mandate; we don’t know it all. CSOs are the major stakeholders we have, and we will always consult and collaborate in the overall interest of the nation,” she said.

2027: Gov Sule Sparks Buzz, Reveals Who He Wants As Nasarawa’s Next Governor.

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has openly backed Aliyu Wadada as his preferred governorship candidate under the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 general elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Sule made this known during a meeting with political appointees at the Government House in Lafia, a move seen as an early signal of political succession plans in the state.

Wadada, who currently represents Nasarawa West in the 10th Senate, recently dumped the Social Democratic Party for the APC, further fuelling speculations about his governorship ambition.

The governor also faulted public officials who parade routine duties like salary payments, road construction and provision of basic amenities as landmark achievements.

Speaking on Wednesday at the 59th inaugural lecture of Nasarawa State University, Sule said governance should go beyond basic responsibilities and focus on policies that directly improve people’s lives.

According to him, leaders must think beyond conventional projects and pursue solutions that bring lasting impact to citizens.

Using his administration as an example, Sule recalled how frequent fire outbreaks at a major market used to force the government into repeated relief payouts to traders.

He said rather than continuing temporary interventions, his government chose to build a modern market to permanently tackle the problem, adding that there has been no report of another fire incident since the reconstruction.

Sule also highlighted the construction of a bridge in Auta near Keffi, which he said has greatly reduced years of devastating flooding in the area.

At the event, Ike Neliaku praised Sule’s development strides, especially road and infrastructure projects across key parts of the state.

Also speaking, Emmanuel Dandaura stressed the need for institutions to align communication with performance, warning that failure to do so could erode public trust.
