“If You Insult Tinubu, I’ll Insult You” – Sunday Igboho Fires Warning At Makinde.
Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has criticised Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde over his alleged mockery of President Bola Tinubu.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
According to reports, Igboho condemned Makinde’s conduct during a public event, describing it as childish and disrespectful to the President.
Makinde had challenged rival presidential candidates to demonstrate their physical stamina after jumping off a stage during a campaign meeting in Akure, Ondo State, on October 22.
The governor made the demonstration at the APM South-West Presidential Campaign Town Hall Meeting held at the Ondo State International Conference Centre, popularly known as The Dome.
While addressing supporters, Makinde said he would focus on candidates’ energy levels and ability to withstand the demands of leadership rather than making age a major issue ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Reacting to the incident, Igboho accused the Oyo governor of making fun of Tinubu and warned that he would respond to anyone who insulted the President.
In a statement on Sunday, the Yoruba Nation activist said Makinde’s actions amounted to disrespect towards the President.
“He was jumping around like a frog and a mad man, insulting Tinubu, saying Tinubu can’t jump like him as if he doesn’t have a father.
“If you insult Tinubu, I will insult you back. Anyone who wants to live long should not mock an elderly person for any reason,” Igboho said.

In a statement personally signed by the former governor, Obaseki described the incident as an unacceptable act of violence that must not go unpunished.
He maintained that no political ambition or disagreement should result in the injury, suffering or death of any citizen, stressing that violence and intimidation have no place in a democratic society.
Obaseki said, “I strongly condemn the attack on Mr. Osagie Daniel Idedia, popularly known as MC Porkupyne. This reprehensible act of violence is unacceptable and must not be allowed to pass without a thorough investigation and appropriate consequences for those responsible.
“Electoral violence is an ill wind that blows no one any good. No political ambition, disagreement or electoral contest is worth the injury, suffering or loss of life of any citizen. Violence and intimidation have no place in a democracy, and we must collectively resist every attempt to undermine the safety of our people and the integrity of our democratic process.

Edo PDP Raises Alarm Over Attack On MC Porcupine, Demands Arrest Of Sponsors.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State has condemned the alleged attack on popular entertainer Osagie Idieda, popularly known as MC Porcupine or MC Porkupyne, calling for the arrest and prosecution of those responsible.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The opposition party also demanded that security agencies identify and apprehend individuals who allegedly sponsored or financed the attack, warning against the growing threat of political violence in the state.
MC Porcupine was reportedly assaulted by hoodlums while returning from an event in Benin City on the night of Friday, October 23, 2026.
In a statement dated October 25 and made available to Naija News, the Edo State PDP Chairman, Nosa M. Ogieva-Okunbor, described the incident as barbaric and unacceptable.
The party maintained that no citizen should be subjected to violence or intimidation for expressing an opinion or being perceived as supporting a particular political position.
“In a democracy, freedom of expression is a right, not a crime,” the statement read.
The PDP noted that Edo State, widely known as the Heartbeat of the Nation, boasts a rich cultural heritage and a long history of political engagement. It insisted that violence and intimidation should have no place in the state.
The party also condemned the alleged use of thugs to harass or attack individuals whose political opinions or affiliations differ from those of people in positions of power.
“Politics should be a contest of ideas, not a battle of fists and weapons. Disagreements are an essential part of democracy, but they must be resolved through dialogue, debate, and lawful engagement, not violence, intimidation, or the shedding of innocent blood,” the statement added.
The opposition party called on the Nigeria Police Force, Edo State Command, and other relevant security agencies to carry out a thorough, transparent and impartial investigation into the incident.
It demanded the immediate identification, arrest and prosecution of everyone found culpable, including the alleged attackers and any individuals suspected of sponsoring or masterminding the assault, irrespective of their political influence or social standing.
The PDP further called for adequate protection for MC Porcupine, his family and other residents who may be vulnerable to politically motivated attacks.
While acknowledging the Edo State Police Command’s announcement that an investigation had commenced, the party stressed that the process must lead to tangible results rather than end with public assurances.
“The people of Edo State deserve a credible investigation, accountability for those responsible, and justice that is both done and seen to be done,” the statement said.
The party wished MC Porcupine a speedy and full recovery, while urging political leaders, party supporters and residents to reject violence and promote peaceful coexistence.
It emphasised that political differences should never become grounds for attacks, intimidation or the loss of lives.
“Edo State belongs to all of us. No political ambition is worth a human life, and no disagreement should ever become a death sentence,” the statement added.
The PDP urged residents to embrace dialogue, tolerance and peaceful political participation, warning that thuggery and intimidation must not be allowed to undermine democratic processes in the state.
