Breaking: Governor Adeleke Ensures Pensioners In Osun State Benefit From Health Insurance Scheme
Breaking: Governor Adeleke Ensures Pensioners In Osun State Benefit From Health Insurance Scheme....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has revealed that the initiation of pensioners’ enrollment into the health insurance scheme in the state stemmed from a thorough situational review, which uncovered numerous health challenges faced by the retirees.
Governor Adeleke disclosed this revelation on Wednesday during the launch of pensioners’ enrollment for the Osun Health Insurance Scheme (OHIS) at the Government Secretariat in Abeere. The state governor had issued a directive for pensioners in Osun to be enrolled in OHIS.
OHIS Executive Secretary, Rasak Akindele, added that 19,000 pensioners in the state have been identified for the program.
Adeleke emphasized, “Our administration conducted a situational review of the living conditions of our pensioners. We discovered that the critical problem is not just unpaid pensions. Even when paid regularly, the bulk of the fund goes into managing health challenges. Our report concluded that almost eighty percent of pensioners’ problems centre around health issues.
“It was at this point that we decided to address the root cause. We opted to meet our senior citizens at their point of needs. This is a direct intervention to prove that the government can indeed meet the desires and aspirations of the people.”
He encouraged retirees to seize the enrollment opportunity, assuring that all 19,000 pensioners in Osun will be enrolled in the scheme. Governor Adeleke also reassured civil servants and pensioners that the funding for the state’s N100 billion infrastructural development plan, covering flyovers, road reconstruction, school and health facility rehabilitation, among others, will not adversely affect their welfare.

The Ultimate Cover-Up? OGPF Fires Back, Brands NNPC’s Oil Licensing Response A Total Diversion.
The Oil & Gas Professionals Forum (OGPF) has dismissed the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL)’s recent response to criticisms concerning the marginal field licensing round, labeling the statement as misleading and diversionary.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The forum asserted that the national oil company failed to address crucial concerns regarding potential conflicts of interest, the beneficiaries of the bidding process, and overall leadership performance under Group Chief Executive Officer Bayo Ojulari.
Previously, the OGPF demanded the removal of Ojulari alongside Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) Chief Executive Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, citing performance concerns and award controversies. In response, NNPCL stated that it operates entirely as a commercial entity under the Petroleum Industry Act 2021, holding no regulatory or asset allocation powers, which legally fall under the NUPRC.
In a fresh statement issued by convener Ayodele Momoh, the OGPF argued that NNPCL’s defense ignored core issues. The forum alleged that close associates of leadership secured allocations during the 37-block licensing round, raising questions about accountability and potential private gain. Furthermore, the group contended that recent improvements in oil and gas output metrics fall short of broader production goals, insisting that leadership accountability should be measured strictly against targeted milestones rather than marginal output gains.
