The Lack Of Electricity In Isoko Land Despite Oil Exploitation, Says Former PDP Chairman Ogidi....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Emmanuel Ogidi, a former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, has expressed his distress over the absence of development in Isoko land, alleging that despite the exploitation of oil and gas resources in the area, no community in Isoko has access to electricity.

Ogidi pointed out that Uzere Community in Isoko North Local Government Area was the second community in Nigeria where oil was discovered. Yet, he emphasized that there are no factories in the entire Isoko region.

He conveyed these concerns during the Outstanding Personalities Awards ceremony held in Oleh community, Isoko South Local Government Area.

Ogidi lamented that the Isoko nation is plagued by individuals who exhibit the “Pull Him Down” syndrome (PHD) and hinder development in the land.

He also acknowledged that the Isoko people have wasted time by undermining their own leaders, mentors, and spiritual figures, even when these leaders haven’t performed exceptionally well.

Furthermore, he noted that Isoko lacks representation at the Federal and State levels, including organizations like the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC).

While recognizing the leaders’ imperfections, Ogidi urged the Isoko people to cease the practice of undermining their own, particularly their leaders and mentors, and instead unite in love to drive the Isoko nation forward.
