The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has taken action against noise pollution by closing down several establishments, including churches, mosques, hotels, bars, and an eatery in the Alimosho area of the state. The agency announced this development through its official communication platform.
In a statement, LASEPA stated, “LASEPA has taken robust measures to combat noise pollution and other environmental violations by sealing off multiple establishments, including religious centers, hotels, an eatery, and a bar in Alimosho today.”
The affected establishments include His Glory Cloud Church, Sure Word and Power Bible Church, Soliheena Central Mosque, Mountain of Power Deliverance, Cherubim & Seraphim Church, Iberuoluwa Mosque, Chirozz Hotel, Mayoral Hotel, West End Lounge & Bar, The Establishment Hotel, and Ayoola Foods.
These actions were implemented to address the identified instances of noise pollution and other environmental transgressions.

Meanwhile, Lagos State has secured a substantial $1.3 billion investment for the Fourth Mainland Bridge. This achievement was made possible through a collaborative effort between the state’s governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in partnership with the African Export-Import Bank and Access Bank.
Governor Sanwo-Olu formalized this momentous agreement during the second Africaribbean Trade and Investment Forum 2023 in Georgetown, Guyana.
Speaking about this development, Sanwo-Olu expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “It was a significant occasion in Guyana at the Africaribbean Trade and Investment Forum 2023, as we have secured a partnership with the African Export-Import Bank and Access Bank for a substantial $1.352 billion investment in Lagos.”
He emphasized that this investment will provide the necessary impetus for the realization of crucial projects, including the Fourth Mainland Bridge, the Omu Creek Project, and the second phase of the LRMT Blue Line from Mile 2 to Okokomaiko.
Governor Sanwo-Olu further affirmed, “We are unwavering in our commitment to shape a brighter future for Lagos and its residents.”
He highlighted the significant progress in achieving their vision for Lagos, including milestones such as the Lekki-Epe International Airport and the Lagos Food Systems and Logistics Hub in Epe, which are expected to stimulate economic growth and leave a lasting legacy for future generations.
