Grammy-winning Nigerian musician, Damini Ogulu, known as Burna Boy, recently made a surprising revelation by turning down a lucrative $5 million opportunity to perform in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). His decision was based on the fact that he would not have the freedom to smoke cannabis while in Dubai.

The UAE, including Dubai, strictly enforces laws prohibiting smoking in public recreational areas, parks, and beaches. In a video that has circulated on social media platform X, Burna Boy can be heard expressing his decision while freestyling during a rehearsal with his band, Outsiders. He emphasized his reluctance to go where he would not be allowed to indulge in cannabis.
