Atiku Abubakar, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), made his way to the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja. He arrived at the party’s national headquarters to pay his respects by signing the condolence register in memory of the recently departed PDP National Woman Leader, Prof. Stella Effah-Attoe.

Taking to his verified Twitter handle, the former Vice President offered his prayers for the peaceful rest of the departed soul. Atiku expressed, “I have just arrived at the PDP National Secretariat, where I took a moment to sign the condolence register in memory of our recently departed National Woman Leader, Prof. Stella Effah-Attoe. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.”

PDP Mourns the Passing of National Woman Leader, Effah-Attoe:

In the meantime, the PDP, represented by its National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, regarded Effah-Attoe’s passing as a significant loss to the nation. The party described her as a brilliant figure, towering and impressive in all aspects, who nonetheless led an exceptionally humble, congenial, sociable, gracious, compassionate, and loving life.

The PDP stated that Effah-Attoe’s death created a substantial void in the PDP and noted her positive influence on various lives and her essential contributions to the nation’s growth and development.

The party’s statement noted, “Prof. Effah-Attoe was very brilliant, towering and magnificent in all spheres, but yet lived an exceptionally humble, pleasant, sociable, gracious, compassionate and loving life. She touched lives in many positive ways and made pivotal contributions towards the growth and development of our Nation.”

The statement continued to highlight her outstanding career in teaching, politics, authorship, and advocacy for women’s rights. As the National Woman Leader of the PDP, she made significant efforts in mobilizing women for more extensive participation in politics and governance.

The PDP expressed its commitment to remembering her unwavering contributions, alongside other leaders, as they work towards revitalizing and strengthening the party in preparation for the 2023 general elections.
