Emphasizing that the nation belongs to all citizens regardless of their ethnic backgrounds and political affiliations, the group issued a communiqué after a national meeting held in Abuja, outlining the vital importance of immediate restructuring to ensure the future of Nigeria and democracy does not remain uncertain. The SMBLF includes representatives from prominent organizations like Afenifere, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, the Pan Niger Delta Forum, and the Middle Belt Forum.
