Ambassador Abayomi Mumuni, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has emphasized that the Supreme Court’s recent ruling is an opportunity for President Bola Tinubu to concentrate on the task of governance. Mumuni’s statement, as conveyed by his media aide Rasheed Abubakar, commended the judiciary for enriching Nigeria’s democracy by adhering to the facts rather than appealing to emotions and sentiments. He congratulated Tinubu on the Supreme Court’s judgment, reaffirming his victory and expressed confidence that the Supreme Court would continue to carry out its responsibilities in light of the appeal filed by opposition candidates.

Mumuni encouraged all stakeholders to collaborate with the President in the pursuit of a stronger economy and a greater Nigeria, emphasizing that national interest should take precedence over any other parochial interests.

Mumuni stated, “This ruling is a triumph for the vast majority of Nigerian citizens who cast their votes overwhelmingly for Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the ballot. I am glad that the judiciary did not appeal to emotions and sentiments but stuck to the facts of the matter. I congratulate Mr. President and our party, the APC, most heartily on this important victory. It finally put to rest the long and tortuous legal battle over the presidential election. This will definitely provide the President and his team the needed concentration to focus on their task of nation building.”
