The newly appointed commissioners are as follows: Dr. Gift Worlu, who will serve as Commissioner for Housing; Austin Ben Chioma, Commissioner for Environment; Prince Isaac Umejuru, Commissioner for Physical Planning & Urban Development; Mr. Joseph Johnson, Commissioner for Information & Communication; and Mr. Victor Kii, Commissioner for Agriculture.

Fubara emphasized his desire to have competent individuals who can fulfill his campaign promises and contribute to the betterment of Rivers State. He underlined the commissioners’ responsibility to work for the benefit of the entire state rather than just their local communities.

He stated, “Your loyalty is to the State because if you don’t do that when you leave, whether you like it or not, the records will be there to show what you did while you served as a commissioner. So, I charge you to leave your local issues and focus on promoting the interest of our State. That is the only way the theme that we all agreed on, consolidation and continuity, can be felt in our State.”

Fubara also encouraged the new commissioners not to function as sole administrators within their ministries but rather to embrace and promote teamwork to achieve the state’s objectives.
