Nigerians React As Allied Peoples Movement Withdraws Presidential Election Appeal Against President Bola Tinubu At Supreme Court
Nigerians React As Allied Peoples Movement Withdraws Presidential Election Appeal Against President Bola Tinubu At Supreme Court....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has chosen to withdraw its appeal before the Supreme Court challenging President Bola Tinubu’s electoral victory in the February 25 presidential election. The party had initially filed the appeal in an attempt to nullify President Tinubu’s victory, following their loss of the same case at the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal (PEPT).
The APM, represented by its legal team led by Mr. Chukwuma Machukwu Ume, SAN, decided to withdraw the appeal shortly after it was called for a hearing on Monday. The decision was met with criticism from Justice Inyang Okoro, who heads the panel of Supreme Court Justices overseeing the appeal. Justice Okoro described the appeal as baseless, noting that it lacked substance and that the party’s primary request was to have the President removed without a clear objective beyond that.
Justice Okoro pointed out that when a case is won, there should be something to gain from the victory, but the APM’s appeal lacked a concrete purpose or request for the court’s action. The judge emphasized that the appeal was seeking the President’s removal without specifying any further course of action, unlike other appeals before the court that were requesting substantial outcomes.
