The Ogun State Police Command has taken into custody a pastor affiliated with the Christ Liberty Evangelism Church, Oyenekan Oluwaseyi, and three additional individuals after they were found in possession of a human skull in the Saje Area of Abeokuta.
The four individuals, Oluwaseyi, Ibrahim Agbowewe (30), Suleiman Ogunbunmi (40), and Gafari Akinsanya (57), were apprehended in the early hours of Saturday. A source within the police department revealed that the suspects were arrested following a tip-off from concerned members of the public who observed their suspicious activities in the area.
In response to this intelligence, law enforcement officers swiftly took action, arresting the suspects who claimed their intention was to use the human skull for ritual purposes. Among the items seized from the individuals were a large calabash, a black Toyota Camry car, and a ram.
State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola, has confirmed the arrest, further stating that the four suspects confessed to their involvement in the crime.
