In a recent operation, the Nigerian Navy’s patrol team, under Commander Commodore Kolawole Oguntuga of NNS Beecroft, intercepted a large boat suspected to be involved in illegal bunkering activities. The boat was carrying 205 drums of a substance believed to be Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and other products.

The suspects on board the boat reportedly fled upon sighting the navy’s patrol team. The interception took place within the Igboelejo community area of Lagos State.

The Nigerian Navy attributed the success of the operation to an intelligent report received from informants. Sub Lieutenant HA Collins, the Base Information Officer, released a statement confirming the operation’s details.
