Ismail Inah Hussein, a prominent figure within the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has officially switched his allegiance to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State. The former federal legislator, who previously represented Idah Federal Constituency in Kogi State, made this decision in conjunction with his loyal followers from the PDP.
Hussein’s defection was confirmed during a campaign rally organized by the APC in Ajaka, Igalamela-Odolu Local Government Area. He cited his motivation as a desire to contribute to the growth and progress of both Kogi State and the nation as a whole.

Explaining his rationale further, Hussein commended the APC-led government in Kogi State for its efforts in promoting unity, ensuring security, and fostering overall development. Consequently, he pledged his support for Usman Ododo, the APC’s gubernatorial candidate in the upcoming election, with a promise to mobilize widespread support for the APC, aiming for a resounding victory in the November 11 poll.
The APC Chairman in Kogi State, Abdullahi Bello, warmly welcomed the new members and expressed his confidence in the party’s prospects for a decisive victory in the imminent election.
Distinguished individuals present at the event included former State Chairman of the APC, Hadi Ametuo; Deputy Governorship Candidate, Joel Oyibo; Zonal Chairman of APC, Muhammed Alfa; House of Representatives member representing Idah Federal Constituency, David Zacharias; and former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Sadiq Abubakar Ainoko, among others.
